School Tours
As parents of five children, we treasure the value of a good education, and welcome the opportunity to share the farm story with school and youth groups. We like to make sure the children have a fun time while they learn about the animals, where their food comes from, and how food is grown.
We have spring tours.
In the spring, each child will be allowed to pick a pint of fresh strawberries from the field. We talk about the strawberries and share the important facts, such as how they are planted and pollinated. We'll also talk about other crops we grow, and about the farm animals and the things we get from the animals, such as wool, eggs, and hamburger.
Each child in the spring tour will receive a coloring book that helps them recall and discuss what they've seen on the farm. Tour includes use of all our play and picnic
areas, and lunches or snacks may be shared under the tent covering.
School tours are $5 per student and any sibling age 3 and over. Teachers and parent escorts are free, but need to purchase their strawberries if they want to have them.
